How to pick the right LED light

Wattage is only half the story. Match the light to the room, then to the fitting.

  • Size the room firstRoughly 1W of LED per square foot of floor area gives comfortable general lighting — about 9–12W for a bedroom, 18–20W for a living room.
  • Choose the colour temperatureWarm white (3000K) for bedrooms and dining, cool daylight (6500K) for kitchens, study desks and shops.
  • Check the fittingB22 pin holders take our standard bulbs; false ceilings need panels or downlighters cut to size.
  • Mind the supplyIf your voltage fluctuates, a surge-protected driver matters more than a few extra lumens.

FAQ

LED lighting questions, answered

How much electricity does an Atanix LED bulb save?

A 9W Atanix LED gives roughly the light of a 60W incandescent — about 85% less energy. Four bulbs running five hours a day save close to 370 units a year.

Are Atanix LED lights covered by a warranty?

Yes — a 2-year replacement warranty against manufacturing and driver failure. Keep the invoice and call 1800-000-000 to raise a claim.

Which LED light suits a bedroom?

A 9–12W bulb in warm white (3000K) for a standard 10×12 ft bedroom. Pick a 20W batten or 12W panel in cool daylight for kitchens and study areas.

Do they cope with low voltage?

Our drivers run from 140V to 280V with surge protection, so output stays steady through the voltage swings common on residential supply.
